National Day of Adventure

Written by

In 2011 the company formerly known as Wenger Swiss Army sponsored the Patagonia Expedition Race, also known as the World's Toughest Adventure Race.  Even though Wenger has been absorbed into Victorinox it seems the spirit of adventure is still alive and well with the upcoming National Day of Adventure on October 16th.

Victorinox Swiss Army, in partnership with Men's Health magazine is sponsoring the National Day of Adventure, a new holiday to encourage people to get outside, learn new skills and live life to the full extent.

To help kick things off, Victorinox and Men's Journal will be hostign events in the following cities, which will include trail rides, races, scavenger hunts and similar events.

Event announcements will be made and detailed on the Men's Journal website.

Former Marketing Manager for Wenger NA and current Senior Vice President of Marketing at Victorinox Swiss Army says "We’re excited to integrate 125 years of Swiss Army Knife preparedness into the inaugural National Day of Adventure with Men’s Journal and we look forward to celebrating everyone’s adventures large and small on October 14.”

Men's Journal has also created the hashtag #NDOA to help you share your adventures and see what everyone else is doing.

I am more of a "fly by the seat of my pants" kind of adventurer, so I'm not planning anything specific, but you can count on me finding something interesting to do, both for my own amusement and to help support the event- I think it's about time we had our own holiday!
