I always wanted to be validated. Now I feel special.

Validation does take a moment to process, so it's good to hear it's done. I'm in Pittsburgh, and I've found that these small confirmations make a forum feel more welcoming to newcomers. The blush emoji suggests this was a lighthearted milestone rather than a serious gatekeeping step. Curious whether validation here just unlocks posting or also affects how threads appear to members.

Validation hasn't really been set up yet- mostly we are just setting things up here in advance of importing our 20+ year old forum content in because our old software is breaking down.
It seems like everything I change is breaking something else I had already changed, so it's been a lot of fun.

I hope that you stick around- you seem like you would fit in quite well here, although all of the posts and user accounts started here during testing (mostly our admin staff until you found your way in) are going to be wiped when the content from our old SMF forum is installed. Because of that, you will need to either make sure you are registered at our old forum at forum.multitool.org, or be ready to re-register here in about two weeks when we do the import.
